Why is this called TV Hash?
To be honest I have no idea? It is traditional Chex Mix recipe with a different name!
Chex Mix, the popular snack, was invented in 1952 by Ralston Purina, a company known for its breakfast cereals and pet food. The creation of Chex Mix was a result of a marketing strategy to promote Chex cereals.
The story goes that Ralston Purina wanted to find a way to boost the sales of its Chex cereals. The company's marketing team came up with a brilliant idea: create a savory and flavorful snack mix using Chex cereals as the base. The recipe was then printed on the Chex cereal boxes as a way to encourage people to try the mix and, of course, buy more Chex cereals.
